A vocabulary instruction curriculum tailored to learner’s individual differences
In partnership with Merit-All OL, this project proposes a vocabulary instruction framework that fosters the development of students with different motivational, cognitive, and socio-affective learning tendencies.
Language learning is so special in Qianli’s
initiatives that we research it separately. English
instructors from Wind Ride HP found routine courses
insufficient to address student’s vocabulary
learning needs. South Vision CW reported minority
students’ Mandarin composition heavily affected by
their heritage language.
Merit-All Language Acquisition Lab is an initiative
that addresses language interference and vocabulary
learning in rural education.
To date, LA has supported 2 projects, and currently
cooperates with OL to design a new vocabulary
learning curriculum. Our research helped improve
Qianli’s second language education.
In the future, we intend to publish our research
findings more broadly, perhaps through educational
journals or conferences, to share our insights with
a wider academic audience.
