EdTech Readiness Project
Digital Readiness
The
lack of digital readiness is prominent in rural
areas. Rural teachers generally have less software
knowledge; the school lacks funding to develop
software, hence slowing down the digital transform
in teaching practices.
As a part of the Wind Ride team, EdTech Readiness
Project aims to promote digital readiness in the
target schools from the vantage point of ongoing
cooperation.
Software Support
We help target school students to register accounts
for our Easy-Teach platform and provide guidelines
for accessing courses on the platform.
For rural teachers, we provide face-to-face
instructions and written guidelines on how to create
courses.
Inclusion & Access
Another goal of ER is to ensure our platform is
inclusive and accessible for target school students.
Our platform accommodates for any device, including
computers, Seewo, phones, tablets, etc. Courses are
translated as per students’ linguistic preferences.
Contents are subject to in-group reviews based on
inclusion principles.
Public Promotion
We speak to public in many occasions to raise the
awareness of educational technology, ranging from
social media platforms to Intel ICAF conference.
As a high school team, we also cooperate with campus
clubs to organize events to highlight the importance
of technology in solving educational inequality. For
such collaboration, please contact tinogao@ecits.ac.
Our Impact
To date, Easy-Teach has been implemented in three schools from two locations, including Shanghai and Yunnan. A total of 100 students are currently using our service to accelerate learning. Our promotion videos have been viewed by 1000+ viewers. We held 10+ campus events and participated in Intel’s ICAF.
Moving Forward
ER is planning to deepen the connection of Easy-Teach with more under-developed areas and local teachers. The future of ER is dedicated to the creation of a high-quality educational content community. We will connect with instructors, students, policy makers, and rural educators to foster a positive community.
